Thank you for submitting the plans for the remodel. The plans have been carefully
reviewed by a qualified code enforcement official to examine for full compliance with
the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code and all other fire protection regulatory
documents. There are some items that were found during the plan review process that
need to be addressed before a final inspection of the new facility can be given. These
items are outlined and described below.
• 901.6 Fire Suppression/Detection Systems
o Plans shall be submitted to the fire marshal's office if any
additions /alterations are done to either the existing alarm system or
existing fire suppression system located within the store.
• Final Inspection
o Upon completion of work, a final inspection will be given of the store to
ensure all exit/emergency lights that have been changed are functioning as
normal
o Fire extinguishers shall be installed in designated locations.
o Address shall be located on visible side of building.
