DENHarnett C O U N T Y December 6, 2016 Irma Crispin 84 Smoketree Drive Fuquay Varina, NC 27526 RE: Harnett County Land Use Existing Tank Application # 16-5-40153 Dear Ms. Crispin, Department of Public Health www.harnert.org Harnett County Government Complex 307 Cornelius Harnett Boulevard The Harnett County Department of Public Health, Environmental Health Division evaluated the above referenced property at the site designated on the plat/site plan that accompanied your existing tank application. According to your application requesting, a 16 x 20 covered porch, the evaluation was done in accordance with the laws and rules governing wastewater systems in North Carolina General Statute 18A.1950 including related statutes and Title 15A, Subchapter 18A, of the North Carolina Administrative Code, Rule. 1950 and related rules. Based on the criteria set out in Title 15A, Subchapter 18A, of the North Carolina Administrative Code, Rules .1950, the evaluation indicated that the site is UNSUITABLE for the addition requested. Therefore, your request for an existing tank is DENIED. The site is denied based on the following: 15A NCAC 18A.1950a (161 - Any swimming pool must be 15' from any part of septic system. 15A NCAC 18.19451b) - Each lot shall have original septic system plus repair area. _X_ 15A NCAC 18A.1950 110} - Any building to be 5' from septic tank and/or from drain line. (Revise dimensions of porch to 12 x 20) 15A NCAC 18A.19501c) - Nitrification fields and repair areas shall not be located under paved areas or areas subject to vehicular traffic. As we discussed, revise your application at Central Permitting to change dimensions of porch as listed above, replace handles or lid to tank, and the porch needs to be at least 5 feet from septic.
