Dear Mr. Aiken,
ATC visited the above referenced site to observe and evaluate foundation soils for Lot 138. At the time
of our visit, building pad construction and footing excavation were complete. The building pad appears to
have less than 12 inches fill with footings bearing at or near residual soils.
Using a % inch diameter steel probe rod and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) per ASTM STP 399,
ATC tested soils at bottom of footing elevation.
Results, at areas and elevations tested, indicated soils have sufficient bearing capacity to support a
foundation designed for a net allowable bearing capacity of 2,000 pounds per square foot (psf).Soil sub -
grade for the slab on grade appeared to be firm and satisfactory to support the proposed slab.
