Dear Mr. Cunha:
We have inspected the referenced additions for the subject property. Below are our
structural findings for each addition.
• Carport: This approximately 24' X 20' carport is supported by encased 4 -inch
columns on concrete footings and the existing 4 -inch concrete pad. The
framing which includes roof beams and truss system is structurally adequate
for the imposed loads. The concrete footings and pad supporting the columns
are structurally adequate for the imposed loads.
e The free - standing rear deck and sunroom are supported by 4x4 wood posts
and masonry piers on concrete footings which are structurally adequate for the
imposed loads. Additionally, steel jack posts have been added in some areas.
The deck and sunroom framing which includes double 2x10 wood girders.
2x8 floor joists and roof rafters (sun room only) are structurally adequate for
the imposed loads.
• The supporting structure for the new roof overhang over the front porch
consists of encased 4 -inch columns on the concrete slab that support the front
roof beam. The roof consists of rafters tied to the existing roof structure. The
new porch roof framing and support structure are structurally adequate for the
imposed loads.
