At the time of our visit, building pad construction and footing •excavation were complete. Soils appear to be mostly residual left half and front with approximately two feet of fill in the back right. Using a' /: inch diameter steel probe rod and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) per ASTM STP 399, ATC tested soils at bottom of footing elevation. In addition, ATC performed a hand auger and DCP testing at the back right comer. ATC performed DCP testing at 1 foot intervals down to satisfactory residual soils. Results, at areas and elevations tested, indicated soils have sufficient bearing capacity to support a foundation designed for a net allowable bearing capacity of 2,000 pounds per square foot (psf). Soils appeared to be firm and satisfactory for concrete slab on grade placement.
