August 30, 2002
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Friday, August
30, 2002, in the county manager's office, County Administration Building, 102 East
Front Street Lillington, North Carolina.
Members present: Teddy J. Byrd, Chairman
Beatrice Bailey Hill, Vice Chairman
Dan B. Andrews
Walt Titchener
Commissioner McNeill was absent.
Staff present: Neil Emory, County Manager
Dwight W. Snow, County Attorney
Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board
The workshop was called to order at 11:30.
Attorney Snow reviewed a recently revised proposed commissioners' voting district
map.
Mr. Emory reviewed the following items with the Board:
1. Hunting Bill/Local Legislation
2. D.O.T. funding for road improvements for Western Harnett Industrial Park
3. Location of future Lillington Fire Department facility at the Governmental
Complex
4. Report on military housing meeting with Picerne
5. Dr. Evans' lot appraisal for water/sewer easement
6. Appointment notebooks
7. Report on visit to Longview M.H.P.
There being no further business, the Board of Commissioners' workshop, August 30,
2002, adjourned at 12:15 p.m. r
