(Joint Meeting with Board of Education)
August 7, 2002
7:00 p.m.
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Wednesday,
August 7, 2002, in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administration
Building, 102 East Front Street, Lillington, North Carolina. The purpose of the
meeting was to meet jointly with the Board of Education to discuss the future of the
old Coats School campus and election districts.

Staff present: Neil Emory, County Manager
Wm. A. (Tony) Wilder, Assistant County Manager
Dwight W. Snow, County Attorney •
Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board
Chairman Byrd called the Commissioners meeting to order and welcomed the Board
of Education. Board of Education Chairman Harrington Morrison called the Board of
Education meeting to order.
The two Boards discussed the future of the old Coats School campus and election
districts.
There being no further business, Commissioner McNeill moved for adjournment.
Commissioner Hill seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The Harnett
County Board of Commissioners' meeting, August 7, 2002, duly adjourned at 8:30
p.m.
