January 31, 2002
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Thursday,
January 31, 2002, in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administration
Building, 102 East Front Street, Lillington, North Carolina.
Members present: Teddy J. Byrd, Chairman
Beatrice Bailey Hill, Vice Chairman
Dan B. Andrews
Walt Titchener
Commissioner Tim McNeill joined the group via telephone.
Staff present: Neil Emory, County Manager
Wm. A. (Tony) Wilder, Assistant County Manager
Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board
Chairman Byrd called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m.
Neil Emory, County Manager, reported on and led discussion of the following items:
1. Schools construction schedule
2. Passenger rail service through Harnett County
3. Employee survey report scheduled for February 14, 2002
4. Proposed mapping topography of the County
5. Ongoing grants
6. Hunting issue
7. Black River drainage ditch
Office space for various departments
There being no further business, the Commissioners' workshop adjourned at 11:50
a.m.
