Analysis revealed that for wind zones consistent with those of Harnett County, 'A" anchor bolts are to be installed ® 6' -0" o.c. and within 1'-0" from the end of each plate. When retrofitting anchor bolts to achieve these minimum requirements, the contractor may install 'h" threaded rods embedded a minimum of seven inches into a masonry foundation and secured with epoxy, or if the , I �-- - -` :foundation is a poured concrete wall or monoslab foundation, the contractor may install /" x 6" expansion sleeve anchors such as "Red Heads ".
