Board of County Commissioners met, Present,
Geo.E.Prince,T.A.Harrington and J.E.Elliott.
J.H.Williams,Treas. presented his monthly statement same was ordered filed.
Ordered that petition asking for the establishment 6) a public road Prot the Smithfield
and Fayetteville road at Thos.McLambs, by S.C.Neighbors,r.G.Lee crossing the Dunn and
Raleigh road near W.L.McLeods,then crossing BlackRiver near A.L.Sorrells,to the old
..unn & Lillington road, be granted ,provided that the petitioners, put said road in condition
to be received by the Board of Supervisors and any damage assessed shall be paid by the
petitioners.
Ordered that N.A.Smith,be and he is hereby authorized to repair and put in good condition
the road and bridge at Hockaday's ford across Neills Creek.
Ordered that Guss Hughes,be put on out side poor list at $2. per month.
Ordered that Sarah A.Yarbrough, allowance be raised,one dollar per month.
Ordered that L.J.Arrold M.D. be allowed $18.75 for service as supt.of Health.
Ordered that L.J.Arnold M.D. be allowed $26. for service in small pox at Duke.
Ordered that S.N.Betts,be allowed $18.60 for fresh meats furnished small pox patients.
Ordered that E.R.Thomas Drug Co. be allowed 131.95 for medicine furnished Small pox patients.
Ordered that Hassel - Johnson Co. be allowed $105 for provisions furnished small pox patients.
