Board County Commissioners met,present,
G. K. Granth. am, T. A. HArrinp :ton,J.A.Smith,D.P.MCDonald and W.H.Turlington.
On motion of Mr. T. A .Harrington,Nr.G.K.Grantham,was unanimously elected Chairman of
Board for the ensuing year.
The bonds of the following officers,viz,F.H.Taylor,C,S.C. J.B.Lanier,Shetiff,
J.H.Williams Treasurer and H.C.Stewart Register of Deeds, were accepted by the following
vote,those voting for the receiving of the bonds,G.K. Grantham ,J.A.Smith,T.A.Harrington
D.P.McDonald and W.H.Turlington,those voting against receiving bonds,none.
P.P.McDonald reports $55.55 collected on insolvents and land sales.
J.F..Williams Treas. presented his official report same was accepted.
Ordered that C.H.Davis Col. be relieved of poll tax,in Duke Township.
Crdered that G.A.Ennis be relieved of t10.30 on poll and property,in Averasboro Township.
Ordered that Mrs,M.L.Balmon be relieved of taxes on $1000. property in Lillington Ts.
Ordered that J.C.Wiliiams tax list be changed as follows;130 acres land valued at t1500.
reduced to $1300. and town lots valued at t3600. reduced to 3300. and that he be
charged with :1400. solvent credits.
Ordered that Jacob W.Stewart be relieved of poll tax,in Grove Township,add that he be
placed on roll of permanent releases.
Crdered that T.A.Farrington be appointed Committee to contract the building of bridge
across Campbells Creek near B.P.Stephens.
Ordered that Abram McLean,col. be placed on out side poor list at $"1. per month.
Ordered that Riley Holder be relieved of 90i, taxes on land in U.L.River Ts. valued at $117.
Ordered that Robert Hartfield be allowed t8. special for 1 month.
Ordered that Hassel- Johnson Co. be allowed t7.81 for provisions furnished Small -pox Quarantine
Ordered thatM.R.Morgan be allowed $30.80 for keeping Co.Home 1 month.
Ordered that A.L.Baucom be allowed $7. for board of J.A.Baucom 1 month, and that
hereafter he will only be allowed $5, per month for same.
Ordered that Zeb Harrington be allowed 54.50 for conveying D.R.Morris insane to Co,Jail.
Ordered that J.W.Halfort Supt. Health be allowed P15. for service establishing quarantine.
Ordered that C.M.Muse.be allowed .12.50 for service as Co.atty.
Ordered that F.C.Stewart be allowed ?`18.64 for service as clerk.
Ordered that H.C.Stewart P.A. be allowed t33.60 for purchase as per bills rendered.
Ordered that J.A.Spivey be allowed $28. for repairing bridge and crossway over Reedy Swamp.
Ordered that J.E.Lanier be allowed $37.80 for service as jailer month of October.
Ordered that J.B.Lanier be allowed $52.30 for service as jailer month of November.
Ordered that J.E.Lanier Sheriff be allowed $`,63.10 for holding November term Court.
Ordered that R.F.Jernigan be allowed t37.85 for apprehending Henry Martin Lucue Murderer.
Ordered that G.W.Fuquay be allowed $18. for keeping.Northington Ferry 1 month.
Ordered that the Lillington News be allowed t-,11. for publications as per bill rend.
Ordered that A.S.Johnson be allowed $5.for building plat form and putting down jury chairs.
Ordered that Lillington Supply Co. be allowedW14.65 for heater& c.
Ordered that Dr.J.E.Caviness Cor.be allowed t21.75 for holding inquest,of unknown
Negro near Coats,etc.
