Board of County Commissioners met present,
G.K.Grantham, J.A.Smith, T.A.Harrington, W.H.Turlington and D.P.iicDonald.
Dr. J.W. Salford, Supt. Health presented his monthly report same was filed.
J.B.Lanier Sheriff presented his monthly report same was,ordered filed.
J.H.Williams Treas. presented his monthly report same was ordered filed.
A.Y.Tutor Jr. filed a complaint of the dumping of saw -dust in Little creek,same was
deferred till July meeting for a bearing.
J.H.McNeill having been appointed Conshable of Upper Little River Township to fill
the unexpired term of D.C.Collins, caused by his resignation, filed his official bond
in the sum of 1500.with J.G.Womack and B.F.McLeod as sureties,same was unanimously
accepted and ordered recorded in Record of Official Bonds.
Upon filing a petition as prescribed by law,for a special School Tax election in
Dist. No. 2 for whites in Hectors Creek Township, it is ordered that an election
be held in said Dist. on July 9th. under the laws regulating general elections in the
State; at which time shall be submitted the questionof "For SPECIAL TAX "& "AGAINST
SPECIAL TAX ":It is further ordered that A.A.Johnson,be and he is hereby appointed
Registrar for said election and he is hereby directed to make a new registration of
all the qualified voters residing within the boundaries of said Dist.;and that W.A.
Matthews and R.IT.Sini.tb be and they are hereby appointed poll holders for said election
Notice of said election shall be posted at the court -house door in Lillington and three
public places in said Dist.The clerk of this Board shall furnish the Registrar and
Judges of election with a copy of this order.
Ordered that 7.G.Thomas be allowed 117.31 for putting wall around Hump at Court House.
Ordered that ".L.Howard be allowed 510. for work on Black river bridge.
Ordered that N.A.Stewart be allowed $2.50 for puting down floor in Steel bridge near Duke.

Ordered that T.B.Lanier Sheriff be allowed16n.for holding May term Court.
Ordered that A.S.Johnson he allowed ? 10.for putting partition in front hall of Court- House.
Ordered that Mrs.r.F.Young be allowed 110.70 for taxes over paid on Bank -Stock improperly
listed.
Ordered that H.O.Stewart P.A.be allowed 170.17 for.purchase as per bills rendered.
Ordered that Dr.J.E.Caviness be allowed 15.r5 For board of jury and visits to prisoners.
Ordered that Lillington News be allowed 11.50 for publishing notices to Calendar Com.

Ordered that L.C.Oxendine be allowed $3. for burial of Caro Oxendine Pauper.
Ordered that J.A.Rogers & Co. be allowed 1.65 for medicine furnished prisoners.
Ordered that Dr.J.W.Halford be allowed 160 for service in small -pox.
Ordered that Barnes and Polliday be allowed 149.50 for wire fencing furnished Co.Home.
Ordered that J.H.Withers be allowed 110 court calendars for may court.
Ordered that C.M.Muse be allowed 114.50 for service as atty.and fence Committee.
Ordered that A.L.Baucum be allowed 17.70 for board of J.A.Baucnm one Month.
Ordered that M. R. Morgan be allowed $31.25 for keeping Co. Home one month.
Ordered that Will McLean be allowed 12.40 poll tax improperly listed.
Ordered that H. C. McNeill be and he is hereby elected Cotton Weigher for the Town of Dunn.
Ordered that H. C. Stewart be allowed '0.7O for service as Clerk.
Ordered that B. F. McLeod be alllwed 114:00 for repairing Harrington Bridge on U. L. R.
Ordered that C.D.Lanier be allowed W16.66 for keeping Northington ferry one month.
Ordered that the taxes be and the same are hereby levied upon each poll and upon 0100
worth of property real and personal and all objects of taxation prescribed by law,
subject to legal exemption,for the year 1907,as follows:

Onall subjects of taxation on which a tax is levied by the state under Schedule B &C of the
revenue act now in force,a tax equal to that levied bt the state be and the same is hereby
levied for the County,under each section except under such sections of said act asprovided
that no such tax shall be levied for the County,The clerk is hereby ordered to furnish the
sheriff with copy of this order,
in public school districts,where a local tax has been voted, a special tax for schools
of 90¢ on each polland 30¢ on each $100 worth of property, except in Upper Little River
Township district #which shall be 451on each poll and 151 on each 1100 worth of property,
