MONDAY JUNE 3rd, 1907. Board of County Commissioners met present, G.K.Grantham, J.A.Smith, T.A.Harrington, W.H.Turlington and D.P.iicDonald. Dr. J.W. Salford, Supt. Health presented his monthly report same was filed. J.B.Lanier Sheriff presented his monthly report same was,ordered filed. J.H.Williams Treas. presented his monthly report same was ordered filed. A.Y.Tutor Jr. filed a complaint of the dumping of saw -dust in Little creek,same was deferred till July meeting for a bearing. J.H.McNeill having been appointed Conshable of Upper Little River Township to fill the unexpired term of D.C.Collins, caused by his resignation, filed his official bond in the sum of 1500.with J.G.Womack and B.F.McLeod as sureties,same was unanimously accepted and ordered recorded in Record of Official Bonds. Upon filing a petition as prescribed by law,for a special School Tax election in Dist. No. 2 for whites in Hectors Creek Township, it is ordered that an election be held in said Dist. on July 9th. under the laws regulating general elections in the State; at which time shall be submitted the questionof "For SPECIAL TAX "& "AGAINST SPECIAL TAX ":It is further ordered that A.A.Johnson,be and he is hereby appointed Registrar for said election and he is hereby directed to make a new registration of all the qualified voters residing within the boundaries of said Dist.;and that W.A. Matthews and R.IT.Sini.tb be and they are hereby appointed poll holders for said election Notice of said election shall be posted at the court -house door in Lillington and three public places in said Dist.The clerk of this Board shall furnish the Registrar and Judges of election with a copy of this order. Ordered that J.H.Withers be allowed 110 court calendars for may court. Ordered that C.M.Muse be allowed 114.50 for service as atty.and fence Committee. Ordered that A.L.Baucum be allowed 17.70 for board of J.A.Baucnm one Month. Ordered that M. R. Morgan be allowed $31.25 for keeping Co. Home one month.
