The county oomissioners of Harnett county Met in regular Session Monday December 2 1912 present V.C. Mathews
,D.P. McDonald, J.N. Fuquay, J.E. Wilson B.F. Williams, J.C. Clifford Atty being full board present.
The expense of the Board for the 1911 -12 ending with the first Monday of November 1912 Itemezed in full was
presented to them accepted and ordered to be Pdblished in the paper and the Total amounts were as follows

The Board passed the orders before them and adjourned and the New Board consisting of J.H. Williams
B.F. Williams T.A. Harrington P.F. Pope and W.L. Senter, took the several oats ac prescribed by law and ass
-used the Office of County Comissioners, And elected J.H. Williams Chm and he took his seat as Chm at once.
It was moved by T.A. Harrington and seconded by P.F. Pepe and B.F. Williams that E.F. Vrnng be Elected
county Attorney, it was put to a vote and carried by unanamous vote.
Allen M. Shaw Havibg been elected Register of Deeds for the ensuing two years , presented his Official
bond in the Sum of Five Thousand $5000.00 Dollars with the American Surety Co as Bondsmen was accepted
he took the several oaths prescribed by law and was inducted into office.
Isaace W. Smith having been elected Sheriff of Harnett county for the ensuing two years , presented his
Official Process Bond in the sum of Five Thousand e5000.eo Dollars with the National Surety Company as
Bondsman was accepted he took the several oats prescribed by law and was inducted into office.
D.B. Stewart (laving been elected County Treasurer for the ensuing two years presented his Official Bonds
in the sum of Thirty Thousand $30,000.00 $2* Dollars , with the National Surety Company as Bondsmen
was accepted she took the zeveral oats prescribed by law and was inducted into office.
J.W. Norris having been elected Constable cf Lverasboro Township for the ensuing two years presented his
Official Bond in the Sum of Five Hundred $500 , Dollars with G.F. Snead, C.W. Jones Jno B. Holland and
. G.T. Hodges was accepted he took the several oats prescribed by law.

ing no.
The Question of the Buckhorn horn Hectors Creek annexed stock law territory was left over for the 1st
monday of January 1913 to be taken up the first thing after recess.
The question of the cart path brought on appeal from the decision of the Supervisors of Black river Townshir
was continued until the 1st monday of February 1913 to be heard at 10 oclock,

This cause coming on to be heard before the board of Comissioners on an appeal by the respondent,A. McArthurl
from the report of J.H. Williams ,John H. Shith, and D.J. Parker, laying out a cart way described in the
petition and in their report, and it appearing to the board of Comissioners that the matter in comtroversy
been settled and agreed upon by the petitioners and the respondent, It is therefore by the consent
of Baggett and Baggett, Attorneys for the Petitioners , and F.T. Bennett attorney for the respondent,

Linden annex district and he was released there from.

signed Petitioners respectfully petition your Honorable board for a public road from Chalabeate Spring
to the Towm of Angier said road to begin at the end of the Public road leading to Cokesburry going East
through Chalabeate and across the lands od W.A. Mathews D.H. Senter Nathan Wester and R.A. Mathews to Neills
Creek at the dry ford and intersects with a road known asj the Campbell road leading to the Town of Angier
and that said road is necessary for the traveling public, that there is not any} public road leading from
Chalybeate to Anger said road would be convienient and useful to the public. Your petitioners therfore
pray the board to order a writ to be issued to the Sheriff commanding him to summons ,a jury of free holders
to lay out a public road between the above named points to the greatest advantages to the inhabatints and
with as little predudice as may be to the lands and inclosures and assess the damage and report their procee
ings in due form of law to the board and your petitioners further pray that the board will make aliother
