Settlement was made in hill as follows Total taxes charged to Sheriff $93349.56 Credits as follows Amount paid to treasurer prior to settlement $76262.29 Credits by rebates Insolvents land sales comissions etc 11329.14 Pd by sheriff on day of Settlement *5757.13 credit by errorin fractions on comissionsOf of 3.96 1/5 % 1.00 $93349.56 $93349.56 Ordered that the Clerk notify J.A. Harps of Olivia N.0 the county would pay them $800.00 and they might use it for bridges or culverts as they might see fit the bill to be pail as soon work was completed, J.M. Page was appointed Registrar for Hectors creek Bond Election in place of D.R. Smith present Post Master at Kipling N.C. In the matter of appropiating $1500.00 for the Farm life School for Harnett County Motion Made by P.F. Pope geeended by B.F. Williams Motion put and carried that the amount of $1500.00 be appropiated B.F. ope and B.F. Williams voted aye and W.L. Senter No. Election for Road Bonds in Lillington Township:- Whereas a petition has been filed with the county commissioners of Harnett coumty signed by more than one fifth of the qualified voters of lillington Township asking that an Election be called in said Township in accordance with the provisions of chapter 427 four hundred and twenty seven of the public local lairs of North Carolina, session of 1913 for the purpose of passing upon the question of isuing Bonds for the improvement of the roads of said Township in the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.): and, Whereas the board find that the said petition is regular in form ant oomplies with all of the requirements of said as It is therefore RESOLVED, that an election be and the same is hereby called to be bald at the regular vNttag places in said Township on Saturday .July 28th 1914, for the purpose of presenting to the qualified voters og said Township the question of issuing bonds in the Sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars 0 ,000.) for the purposes of road improvement as provided by the slid chapter 427 of the:public local less of Session 1913, subject to the.teras end conditions of the said Act; and be it further resolved, That 4 new Registra- tion of the voters of Lillington Township for the purpose of said Election is hereby ordetod$ And•for Lillington Township D.R. Parker is appointed Registrar, and W.J. Parker and W.F. Marsh Jr ate appointed Poll'Bolders; the said registration and Election to be conducted as provided for election 01 Members of General Assbtbly under the General Election law, except that the returns thereof shall be'mAdb to the Board of County Coaissioners. IT IS ORDERED that these resolutions be recorded in the minutes of the board and published in **Weekly Newell paper having a general oirculation in Harnett County from now until the date of said Election. Whereas a petition has been filed with the board of comissioners of Harnett County signed by more than one fifth of the qualified voters of Upper Little River Township, asking that an election be called in said Township in accordance with the provisions of Chapter Four Hundrdd and Twenty Seven (427) of the Public Local laws of North Carolina , Session of 1913, for the purpose.of passing upon the question f issuing Bonds for the iaprovaent of the roads of said Township in the Sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars(f20,000.); And Whereas the board find that the said petition is regular in form and complies with all of the, requirements of said Act, %/ it is therefore RESOLVED, that an election be and the same is hereby called to be held a$ the regular voting places in said Township on Saturday July 25th 1914 for the purpose of Presenting the qualified voters of said Township the Question of issuing Bonds in the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars a 0,000) for the purpose of road Improvment as pprovided by the said Chapter 427 of the public Local Laws o "`SeNOn of 1913, subject to the terms and conditions of the said Act; and be it farther resolved, That a new registration of the voters of Upper Little River Township for the Purpose od said Election is hereby ordered, and that for Precinct Number one J.B.F. Stewart is appointed Registrar and Paul McKay and John B. McDenald are appointed Poll Holders and for Precinct Number Two T.B. McLeod is appointed Regis- trar and H.Y. Smith and W.M. Patterson are appointed Poll Holders; the said Registration and Election to be conducted es provided for election of Members of the General Assembly under the General Election Law except that the returns thereof shall be made to the Board of County Comissioners, IT IS ORDERED That these resolutions be recorded in the minutes of the Board and published in a Weekly Newspaper having a general e$rculation in Harnett County from now until the date of said Election This June 9th 1914. or the order of the board J.H.
