Young C ounty Feb Sam r Monday Maroh 2rd 1914, North Carolina Hmnett County) Whereas, The General Assembly of North Carolina at its Regulr Session of 1913, passed an act entitled, An Aot to_ provide for the working_of public roads of Various Township, and Issuing Bonds for the same said Act being chapter 122 of the Publie Laws of North Carolina, Sessional' 1913 And_Whereas, the said act direota that upon presentation of_a,pstition in writing signed by not less then one fourth og the qualified voters of any Township, to the Hord of county Conissioners of their county requesting them to submit to the qualified voters of the township where sada petitioners reside a proposi to issue bonds for the purpose of laying out establishing , altering, repairing grading and eonstruotingA and improving in any way the public roads of various townshipd of the State, and for purchasing machinery tools etc necessary for /OO such improvements, The Board of County Conissioners shall , within thitty dp, order an Election to be held in such township and submit to the qualified voters therein the question of issuing bonds And Whereas , a petition signed by more than one fourth of the qualified voters of Lillingh . township was presented to the board of county Conissioners of Harnett County at their regular Monthlf Meeting on the First Monday in February, it being the second day of February A.D. Ninteen Hundred and Fourteen, requesting said board of county ooaissioners to call an Election in Lillington Township for the purpose of voting on a FifteaThousand,Dollar (415000.00) Bond Issue to bear not exceeding 6% interest payable semi annually & run not exceeding 40 years, for the purpose of improving in any way the Public roads of Lillington Township, Harnett.County, as authorized in this act and for purchasing Machinery, Tools etc necessary for such iaprovmenta.. Now therefore, be it resolved: lat that_an Election be held in Lillington Township, as provided for by Chapter 122 of the public laws of North Carolina enacted at the regular session of the Legislature of 1913 for the purpose of subaitttag to the qualified voters of said Township the question of issuing Fifteen thousand Dollars in Bonds for road iaprovaents in said Township. 2nd that said election be held on the- 14-day -of April Kinetien hundred and fourteen, at the regular voting pteoinct in Lillington Township. 3rd that U.H. Parker Se and is hereby appointed registrar for said Eleo� and he is further directed to give such notice of said registration as required.by law, and hold said Elec in accordance with the laws governing the same. 4th That W.F. Marsh Jr and W.J. Parker be and they are her appointed judges of said Election and the said Judges and registrar are directed to hold said Election in accordance with the laws govering the sane and report the same to this board at its first meeting after sai4 Election under their hands and sews.
