The Board of County Com:nis*ioners met in Session adjourned from April 3rd.1916:
Those present were: D. H. Senter, Chm .,L.D.Burwell,J.B.Holland,and A.A.Shaw,Comr's. "and
J:W.Wilson,County Attthrney.
It was ordered by the BoarAn hA E.F.Young be instucted to demand of E.S.Srnith the

°pa ment of interest to date on a d Mortgage,and if the same is not paid promptly,to
proceed to collect. If the interest is paid promptly,the Board- agrees to carry the note and
mortgage until Nov.l5th.1916.
It Has "ordered by the Board that the County Loan B.F. orris(Tenant at °County Farm)
the sun of $200'.00, to be secured by chattel mortgage on Crop to he raised on the Jackson Farm,
and on One Horse and buggy,The Clerk of the Board is authorized to issue order $p75.00 now,
$75.00 on the First Monday in June,and $50.00 on the First Monday in July. The purpose of this
loan being to aid said Norris in making crops during year of 1916.
The following resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of the Board:
" Mr.E.F.Young having appeared before the Board in response to the "notice to him,
and having shown to the satigfaetion of the Board that only $2000.00 of the County's funds
were really.placed with him for investment,and he having shown that he has delivered to the
Board satisfactory securities for said ;2000.00,it is resolved by the Board that E.F.Young be
and h.e,is declared to have properly accounted for the funds placed with him for investment for
the County.
It °further appearing that 0.000.00 of the $3000.00 shown by the records as having
been turned'over to Mr.Young for invest.ment,was not delivered to Mr.Young,but that a note and
Mortgage for x;2000.00 given by the Former 'Treasurer of the -'ounty,D.B.Stewart;was offered to
the 'oard as security for said Amount,said note and mortgage dated'0ct.lst.,191L,wlich :.ortgage
has not been recorded . And it further appearing that said note and'-mortgage has never been
accepted by the, Board,It is- resolved that the said mortgage be not accepted and that the
;natter of this'$1000.00 be left open until the Next Regular eeeting'of the Board for Mr.Stewart
to adjust the Matter and account for the said sum.

The matter of appropriating $10.00 each to help defray the expenses of delegates
to the Confederate Veterans Re- union in Birmingharn,•rts taken up and Mr; J,B.TTolland rnadd a
motion to allow seme,notion was seconded by L.D.'urwell, and upon a vote the following voted
aye: L.D.Burwell,and J.B.Holland -- Those opposing A.A-.Shaw,and D.H.Senter--- there being a tie
vote no decision was made.
The Board then adjourned to meat at the next regular session on the First
Monday in May.
