Stewart be released permantly of Poll tax Grove township Ordered that A.M. McLean be.released of Special School tax of Lillington Township $14.88 Ordered that H.F. State of North Carolina County of Harnett) Whereas , under the provision of an act to encourage road building in North Carolina by State aid rattified February 21st 1917 petition containing the signatures of 25 per oen of the qualified voters of Grove Township, have been presented to the Board of County Comissieners of said county, requesting that an Election be ordered in said Township on Tuesday May 8th 1917 Per the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said Township the question of Bonds for the State of North Carolina the sum of Twenty Five Thousand Dollard for road construction in compliance of said act, It is therefore ordered that an Election be held in said Township on Tuesday May 8th 1917 at which there shall be submitted to the qualified voters the question of Borrowing from the State of North Cr olina the Sum of Twenty five thousand Dollars, for the read construction upon the terms contained in said act, a favorable vote thereon shall carry the power and duty on the part of this board to levy and have collected the special taxes req- uired by said act, It is further orderd that the Registration Books for said Election be opened by the registrars in said Township on Monday April 9th 1917 for the registration of voters for said Eleotien and remain open until Saturday April 28th 1917 This 2nd day of April 1917 T.D.
