been filed with this board in accordance with houss3biil 58 and senate bill 188'.as passed by
the General Assembly of North Carolina and ratified on the9th day of Jan, I4I7, asking for an
election to be held in the Coats Graded oohnc7 D!rtriot for the purposeeof voting on the que-
stion of issuing $15.000.00 in bonds. the proceeds of. which is to be used in building and
equiping aSchooi building for:said Coats Graded Sohool,.Therefore, be it Resolved by the board
of commissionersof Harnett County,that an election be $OA/ and the same is hereby called to be
held in said district as prescribed by House Bill 58 and Senate Bill 188 of the general assembly
of North Carolina,ratified onthe 9th day of Jan,1917,said election to be held in accordance with
law on the IOth day of March,1917.
Be it further resolved that a regitration of the said voters
of said district be had in accordance with law. and that O.Y.Odum be and he is hereby appointed
registrar forsaid election and A,F,Grimes and W,J.Mc,Stewart' are appointed poll holders for said
election,and the said registrar and poll holders are hereby directed to hold said election and
prepare ballots for the same,and the qualified voters in said election who favor the issuing of
said $15,000.00in bonds shall vote a ballot on which is either written or printed the words "
For Bonds,and the qualified voters who do not favor the bond issue shall vote aballot upon
which is written or printed the words "Against Bonds ".
Be it resolved further that the said registrar and poll holders shall after the election count
the vote and certify the correct returnes of,the
vote to this board to the end that this board
