H. A. Turlington tendered his regignation tax as commissioner for Grove Township road and was accepted by unamious vote of the Board. Petition signed by sufficient number of voters from Olivia District in Johnsonville and Barbecue Townships was accepted. Whereas there has been a petition xtaxai presented to the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County this day.by the Board of Eduoationn,, � 99f said County requesting the Board of Commissioners to call an election to be held,in the 01ivifc� hool District, lying partly in Johnsonville and partly in Barbecue Townships in the County of Harnett, and embracing the public high school now establishe< in the Town of Olivia for the purpose of authorizing the "sale of bonds in the sum of x$7,500.00 to provide for the erection and equipment of a sohool ltt building in said district in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 55 of the Public Laws of North Carolina of the Session of 1915; and whereas, the petition of the Board of Education complies in all respects with the requirements of the said statute: NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners that an election in said high school disbtiot.is hereby called to be held at the school house in said abhool diettict on July 8th,1918, forthe purpose of ascertaining whether the voters in said district *111 authorize the issuance of bonds in the sum of $7,500.00 to run for twenty years and bear six `"per ``oent interest, payable semi- annually to be a charge against the said district and to authorise the levying of a tax for the payment of the interest on said bonds and the providing of.a sinking fund to liquidate said bonds at maturity - ?4_ -,i &a� ,36 � 4� d�sl ao a, Z&�Aq_ J For the - purpose of said election a new registration of voters in said district is hereby ordered, and H.C.Cameron is hereby designated and appointed registrar with authority to register said voters in accordance wi.th the provisions of law, and J.Y.Kellam and J.A.Page are hereby appointed and designated Poll Holders to assist said registrar in holding said election.
