The report of election held in Lillington Township on the 23rd day of September, 1919, on the 4uestion of the iasuins of $30,000, bornls of said township in accordance with the pro- visions of Chapter 427 of the Public Local Laws of 1913, having been filed with this board on September 25th, and continued for consio'eration to this date and now coining, on to he heard and considered; this board sittins in the capacity of a canvassinZ board, finds the following facts, to -wit: (1) That the said election was dul;;* called and advertised as provided by law and in accordance with the orders heretofore made by this board. (2) That the said eleotien was in all respects conducted as provided by law. (3) That the total. number of qualified voters in said township on the date of said election was one hundred and seventeen (117). (4) That of said qualified voters sixty -nine (59) cast ballots "For Bond Issue." (5) That of said qualified voters twelve (12) cast ballots "Against Bond Issue ". Therefore, it is considered, adjud ,7ed and declared that the proFosed bond issue for said township was approved by a majority of the qualified voters thereof. 7.,iereaPon it is ordered: That the Road Commissioners of Lill.inaton township arH authorized and empowered to issue bonds in the name of and in behalf of said township in the sum not to exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) to run for a period of not to exceed twenty (20) years, and to bear interest at the rate of not to exceed six per cent per annum, and subject to such other limitations'as the said Road Commissioners may prescribe not inconsistent with the provisions of said Chapter 427 of the Public Local Laws of 1913; and the' bon( s so issued are hereby declared to be a binding obligation upon said township and this board o f commissioners of Harnett County obligates itself and its successors in office to levy and cause to be collected sufficient taxes upon the property and polls of said township to pay the interest oil said bonds and to provide a sinkins fund sufficient to pay the principal of the said bonds at their maturity. Upon motion of Commissioner Stewart, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, the above resolution was adopted. Those voting in favor of the resolution being the Chairman, and'Com- rnissioners Ray, Pyrd, Stewart and Johnson. Those voting against the Said re4flution were none. Ray, W.J. Mo. Stewart, R.T. Johnson, and Chas. Ross, Attorney. Ordered returns for Special School Tax in District #6, white race, Anderson Creek township, be put on minutes. Ordered election returns of District #5 Black River be put on minutes. Rev. J.C. Barnes allowed to list taxes to Auditor for 1919. Ordered that road petition between Chicoro and Dunn be laid off. Ordered that E.C. Tew be rebated on 3 acres of land $75.00 in Averasboro township. Ordered that A.M. Shaw make list of amount due from convicts from Feb. 1918. Voucher #1690 to the High Iron Provision Co. for $1738.95, balance on bridge iron, be hereby approved. Dr. J.W. Halford, J.C. Byrd, W.P. Holt are to get to�ether and select suitable man for health officer for county. Ordered that Sheriff of County visit the different townships during November in lieu of account. Moved and seconded that the culverts from Dunn Road be brought in the lot day of Dec. Ordered that the county attorney be instructed to collect E.S. Smith note and bring suit if necessary. Ordered-that H.O. Graham be released from poll tax of 1918. Moved and seconded that the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Education for W.P. Gentry see Mr. Beasley and have him here the first Monday in December. Ordered that Harry Campbell be allowed $5.00 per month. help.
