Monday in September. _ The Board of Commissioners met in regular session Monday Sept.. let 1919, Present J.C. Byrd acting chairman, W.J. MC.,Stewart, R.T. Johpoon, D.P. Bay, and Chas Ross Atty. The report of the M Lillington township Read Commissioners was read by D,r. J.W. Nalf,ord and received and ordered fileds ordered that W. B. Rare , Robert Keen, and Bolt Williams be dropped from the pauper list. be Ordered that Edith Francis Warren be allowed $5.00 per month to sent to W.P. Smith, Angier Route # 2 It appearing to Board that bury M. West in helpless and without home, and that G.A. Matthews is oeeuphng *M## land left said Mary M. West as her dower ordered that Mary M. West be received at County Bow ordered further that Clerk of Court be requested to appoint Guaddian to look after the property interests-of said Mary M. West with a view to recovering her dower right if she be so dnt , also ordered that Aadnda Carter be received at,County Rome. Winstead of Grove Township be allowed $5.00 per Month as pauper. Ordered that J.N. Freel, Sr. be allowed a rebat on $888.80 in Dunn A petition filed by the required by the number of Vetere in Anderson Creek Township soheeL district Mo. 6. approved. Ordered that Chairman of the Board of Commissioners institute a lease to the Town of - sill4ngtom that piece of Property lying on the N. side of the N. & S. R.R. and the Most side of main Street between the N & S. R.R. and the Brick Mill siding for the purpose of the use of a municipal Owned power Plant for a term of 50 years at $16W $1.00 per year the lease to terminate at any time the Town cease to use it for Town prdperty. Ordered that Town of Lillington be allowed to attach a motir# to ,one of the Piers of the Bridge across Cape River for the purpose of pumping water to the Town of Lillington. It is hereby ordered that all stills paid for by Commissioners must check with Bills allowed. Pursuant the Judgment of the Court in the Case of State ve O.A. MoUh&nd it is ordered that the defendant be hired to W.D. McLell&nd for the term of his Jail Sentence to with four months in Con- sideration of the said W.D. Parrish, judges of Election heretofore appointed to hold an election in Averasbere Township for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said Township the question of issuing bonds in the. sum Fifty Thousand Dollars for improvement of the public Roads in said Township in accordance with f provisions of Chapt 284 Of public laws of 1917 and &amends thereto having been filed with this Board at call meeting on August 21st. 1919. and continued for consideration until this day upon considerstdo of said reort, this Board in its capasity as a canvassing board finds the following facts, to -wit . Winslow, has made careful investigation of this road and on his recommendation we harewith approve the Election for $50,000.00 bond issue to construct appoximately thirty- five miles of Road in Grove Township, believing that this work can be done,if carried on economically and efficiently, for the sum proposed to be issued. It is further authorized and ordered that, a tax be levied not exceeding 251 on the $100.00 property and 75p; on the poll, sufficient to pay the interest on the said bonds and provide a sinkinZ fund to pay the principal at maturity.
