03031930March 3, 1930. Counl Commissioners Met in regular session Monday March 37 1930 with all the members present with County Attorney, J. O. West. The Minutes were read and approved. It is ordered that the t axes in Name of A. A. McDoxald, Lillington of #89.1S. Taxes paid by N. C. Joint for 1929 on 121 acres of land listed Township, be released upon the payment Stock Land Bank of Durham, N.C. - It is ordered that H. ';BC Morgan of Duke Township be relieved of poll tax for 1930. It is ordered that A. L. Tyndall pf Duke Township, be relieved of poll tax for year 1930. It is ordered that the property listed by J. F. Beasley, in Hector's Creek be released of $475.00 for reason of timber being cut from said property It is ordered that the'.. tax penalty remain at 1% for the month of Marc It is ordered that W. H. Hollman of Upper Little River Township be relieved of privilege tax for year 1930. It is, ordered-that the lands listed in the name of O. B. Pppe Avs. township be released upon the payment of taxes on the valuation of $5250.00 fo the years 1927 -1925 -1929, it belting the same lands deeded by J. A. Oats Trustee, to A. E. Martin, The above property to have but 6% per cent interest I. is ordered that John McLean be releived of poll tax in Upper Little River Townships Due to the fact that he pays poll tax in Lee County. It is ordered that Mrs,. D. V. Brock convicted in Recorders court of Dunn, be assigned to the Harnett County Horne for the time sentenced by the above court. FESOLUTION IT IS ORDERED by the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County, N.C. that the Alice E. Mclueill 142 acres in Lillington Township being lot 3 in Division of Lewis Pipkin Estate, heretofore sold by M. T. Spears, Trustee to Bank of Lillington under Deed of Trust recorded in book 214 page 275, be relieved of all taxes, interest, penalties, costs, attorney fees and allowance due the county of 'Harnett or county attorney for the years 1926 and 1927 upon payment by the Bank of Lillingtbn;to the County Attorney, J. 0 West of the su of #175.29; and it its further ordered that said 142'acres of land be relieved of all taxes, interest, costs, Penalties, and attorney fees due the- coounty of Harnett for the years 1925 aid 1929 upon the payment of sum of $61.52 for 1925 taxes to county Auditor and upon the payment of $59.23 1929 taxes to County Tax Collector. It IS ORDERED by the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County, N.C. that upon paywent by the Benk of Lillington, to J. 0% Nest county atty. of the sum of $244.25, that allrtaxes, interest, penalties,_ costs, fees, attorney fees, allowances incluiing court costs and sheriffs fees and advertis ment costs in suits nos. 3961 and 4415, due the county of Harnett and County Attorney and clerk of Court and Sheriff, be discharged and settle d in full and the County Attorney is authbaized and directed .to dismiss sutis No 3961 and 4415 at the cost of the plaintiff upon receipt of the payment of said $244.28; said payment to be made on or before april 1st, 1930. RESOLVED th:t pursuant to Section 4 of the County Finance Act, the County of Harnett shall borrow $50,000 for the purpose of paying appropriations made for necessary expenses for the current fiscal year in anticipation of the collection of the taxes and other revenue of such fiscal year and issue negotiable notes therefor, dated -arch 14th, 1930, and maturing July 15th, 1930, bearing interest at the rate of Sit per cent (6p) per annum, payalbe at maturity, principal and interest payable at THE CHASE RATIONAL BANK, in New York, N.
