MEETING -- - - April 3rd, 1929, The Commissioners of Harnett County met in Call meeting with all members present, with Co. Mgr. D. H. 6enter and Co. attorney J. C. 'lest. SOLUTICN: It id ordered by the Board, that Hiram Ba #gett and Dollie Moore Baggett, having made representation to the Board that they are desirous of selling a part of a lot in Block 415 adjoining an alley, the lands of J. G. Layton and the lands of Dollie Moore Baggett, being a strip of land 100 x 71 ft. to be taken offof the Willie Johnson Store building lot. It is the•efore ordered that said part of lot is hereby released for the taxes of 1927 upon the payment of- 25.00 on said 1.27 taxes and the said part lot is also released of 1928 taxes upon the payment to John Green tax Cmllector, of the sum of 25.00 this release in no vise affecting the remainder of the 'Willie Johnson lot or other real estate of the said - dram Baggett and Lolly - oore, Baggett in Lillington, Lillington Township, Harnett County, . RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, suffieient taxes have not been collected to pay appropriations made for the current fiscal year 1928 and to nay intent on bonds and to pay notes to become due within the next four months, Harnett County, and a temp. loan is necessary to meet such appropriations and to pay interst on notes and bonds and to pay notes. NOW iCHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNTY COf'ISSI0J ERS CF HARI;ETT G01JITY; 7ORTH C.:KOLINi, That said county borrower be authorized to borrow on the faith and credit of said county as prescribed in section 5, Public Laws of 1927 of U'The County Finance Act" the sum of Twenty Thousand (420,000.00) Dollar for the purpose of raising funds to meet the appropriations made for ordinary expenses of said county and to pay interest on notes and bonds and pay notes of said county, and the Ohairman of this board he and is hereby autorized to execute note or notes in the aforesaid sum, dated April 8, 1929, payable to bearer and signed by the said Chairman and attested by the Clerk to the Board, payable on July 8, 1929 and bearing interest at the rate of six per cent per annum.
