Minutes of Call Meeting of Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County
on Wednesday April 11, 1928.

Commissioners met in call session with the following members present:
Jas. A. Hockaday, B.P. Ingram and Z.Y. Snipes, and Jae..L. Buchanan, Chairman.
WHEREAS, the State Board of Education of North Carolina has approved a
loan for $90,000.00 from the Special Building Fund for the purpose of erecting
a school building in Upper Little River Township, Harnett County; and whereas,
the State of North Carolina is ready to deliver the proceeds of said loan to
the Board of Education of Harnett County:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Commercial National Bank, Raleigh,
North Carolina, be and the same is hereby designated as the depository for the
proceeds of said loan of $90,000.00, and the Auditor of Harnett County is here-
by ordered and directed to deposit the said sum of 490,000.00 in the said
Commercial National Bask of Raleigh, N.C. for use of the Board of Education
of Harnett County for the aforesaid purpose.
It is further ordered that all vouchers drawn against this fund of $90,000.
be signed by the Chairman of the Board of Education of Harnett County, the
Superintendent of Public Education of Harnett County -, and the Auditor of Barnet
County..
Voting in favor of Resolution: Buchanan, Snipes, Ingram and Hockaday.
It is ordered that the residence lot of Margaret H. Fnquay be released upon
the payment of the taxes now due according to the valuation of the said hose
lot, said amount to be calculated by the Auditor ant a receipt given by him
to Tax Collector for amount so paid.
