061719271 2 MINUTES OF CALL MEETING OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON.June:17, 1927. County Commissioners met in Call Session on June 17 1937. All members' present with I.R. Williams, county - attorney. "Be it ordained by the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett -County: Section 1. That tiu County of Harnett issue its bonds pursuant to the Chapter 81, Section 9, Laws 1927. said Chapter being known as the "County Finance Act," in an amount not exceeding 4225,000.00 for the purpc of acquiring sites, erection of school buildings and equipment ,of same necessary for the proper operation of schools in the said county of Ear-nett for a term of six months as required by the Constitution of North Carolina. Section 2. That a tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest of said bonds when due shall be annually levied and collected Section 3. That statement of the debt of Harnett County has been filed with the Clerk to the Board of the County Commissioners and is now open to public inspection. Section 4. That this order shall become effective thirty days after its first publication. as required by the said County Finance Act, unless in the meantime a petition for its submission to the voters is filed under Chapter 81, Section 21, Laws of 1927, and that in such event it shall take effect when approved by the voters of -the county at an election as provided in said act. All members present and voting in favor of above Resolution. STATEMENT OF THE DEBT OF HARNETT COUNTY; J.P. Bradley, having been duly sworn, deposes.and says, that he is the duly appointed, qualified and acting Auditor of the County of Harnett, that he has examined the records of Harnett County, and that he finds the following statement to be a correct statement of the school indebtedness o Harnett County: (a) That the assessed valuation of property as last fixed for county taxation is the sum -of 425,830,345. (b) That the outstanding school debt is 4884,350. (c) That the bonded school debt to be incurred -under orders either passed or introduced` to be 44225,000. (d) That the net school debt when the said order introduced becomes effective will be 41,109,350. (e) That there are no sinking funds provided for the payment -of the principal of the.outstanding school debt; all of said indebtedness being in the form of serial bonds exeepr 4115,000. (f) That there.are no school credits being principal sums owing to the county by school districts which are pledged to and when collected will be used in retiring outstanding school indebtedness. (g) That there are no unissued funding and refunding bonds included in the gross debt.' -(h) That there are no credits against the bonded school debt. (1) That the net school debt when the order for bond of 4225,000. becomes effective will be 41,109.350. )j) That the percentage that the net school debt bears to assessed valuation is 3.42 per cent.
