CO JANUARY 20, 1926. &ISSIONERS The Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County, North Carolina, met January 20, 1926, in the Court House in Lillington, in advertised session adjourned from the regular meeting of January 4th. Present, G.K. Grantham, Chairman, B.P. Ingram, Jas. A. Buchanan, J.G. Layton, and J.A. Hockaday. Bids were opened County Gold Bonds, as bids, including offer Otis and Co. A.B, Leach & Cd. Spitzer, Rorick & Co. Northwestern Trust Co. Breed, Elliott & Harrison, Braun, Bosworth & Co. Seasongood & Myers, Ryan, Sutherland & Co. Minnesota Loan & Trust Co.: Drake Jones Co. L.R. Ballenger Co.. Emery, Peck & Rockwood Caldwell & Co. A.T. Bell & Co. W.L. Slayton & Co. Assel, Goetz & Moerlein, N.S. Hill &:Co. W.K. Terry & Co. '* 102,900.00 Toledo, Ohio.. 101,537.91 Chicago, I11. 103,506.89 Winston - Salem, N.C. 102,065.00 Durham, N.G. 101,800.00 Chicago, Ill. 101,640:87 Dunn, N.C. 102,423.00 Toledo, Ohio. 104,121.00 The following Resolution was introduced and read to the Board: "Be IT RESOLVED, By the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County, North Carolina; 1. -- -That the highest and best bid received for the 0100,00Qof 5% Harnett County Gold Bonds, as advertised for sale on this date is the bid sub- mitted by The Minnesota Loan & Trust Company offering 0104,415.00 and accrued interest from date of bonds to date of delivery, and said bid is hereby accepted, and the bonds ordered to be duly executed, issued, and delivered to said purchaser on compliance with said terms as stated, in accordance with said advertisement and resolutions:adopted by this Board January 4, 1926. 2. -- -That J.P. Bradley is hereby authorized to deliver said bonds and receipt for the purchase money, as Auditor and Treasurer of Harnett County. On motion duly made and seconded by members of the Board, the fore- going Resolution was adopted by the following roll -call vote; G.K. Grantham aye; J.G. Layton, aye; B.P. Ingram, aye; Jas.. A. Buchanan, aye J.A. Hockaday, aye. Voting no, none. G.K. Grantham Mamie Sexton, Chairman. Clerk. It is ordered, by the Board that ,Mrs. Ella Day be allowed $1.00 perday for the care of Mrs. Maggie Day. It is ordered by the Board that the Committee on the County Home be authorized to sell the hogs, cattle and cotton and .other farm products belonging to the County.
