08231937August 16, 1937 The Board of County Commissioners met as a Board of Equalization on Monday, August 16th. 1937, at 10 :00 A.M. with Chairman J.B.Ennia, and Commissioners Lonnie R.Byrd, J.S.Barker and Geo.T.Neol present. Absent: Commissioner Angus A.Cameron. Also present were County Attorney, H.C.Strickland, and Tax Supervisor J.S.McLean. It is ordered that J.S.McLean correct the acreage on the property of J.G.McLamb in Grove Township from 89* acres to 68.81 acres. The Board recessed to meet Monday, August 23rd. at 1 :00 P.M. J.S.McLean, Ulerk to the Board. August 16, 1937 The Board of County Commissioners met in call session Monday, August 16th. 1937 with Chairman J.B.Ennis, and Commissioners Lonnie R.Byrd, J.S.Barker and Geo.T.Noel present. Absent: Commissioner A.A.Cameron. The County Attorney, H.C.Strickland, was present, also. The Board ordered that its order of August 2nd. 1937, relating to the foreclosing of tax liens be rescinded, and that the order of June 7, 1937, relating to the tax foreclosure suits be restored to its full force and effect. RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, the members of the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County have learned with regret of the death of kr. Herman Byrd, son of Commissioner Lonnie BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners that they record their sympathy for their bereaved fellow Commissioner Lonnie Byrd and the members of his family, and that a copy of this resolution be sent to Commissioner Byrd. RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, the members of the Board of County Commissioners have learned with deep regret of the death of Mrs. Daniel S.Cameron, the mother of Commissioner Angus A.Cameron; BE IT RESOLVED by-the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County that they record their sympathy for their bereaved fellow commissioner A.A.Cameron, and the members of his family, and that the meeting of the Board do now adjourn. Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to Commissioner A.A.Cameron. BY The Board recessed to meet at the call of the Chairman. Clerk. Chairman. August 23, 1937 The Board of Commissioners met as a Board of Equalization and Review Monday August 23, 1937 at 2200 P.M, with Chairman J.B.Ennis, and Commissioners L.R.Byrd,, J.S.Barker, Geo.T.Neol and A.Cameron present. Also H.C.Strickland, County Attorney, and J.S.Mc ean, Tax Supervisor, were present. Complaints relative to assessed valuations were reviewed and properties in townships other than Averasboro were re- appraised preparatory to final action. The Board recessed to reconvene upon call of the Chairman after a review of talnttions dt°Avtraatoro :TaWnship properties in respect of which complaints were registered, shall have been made.
