The Board of County Commissioners met June 14, 1937, after the expiration of
the recess of June 7th. and present were the Chairman J.B.Ennnis, and Commissioners
Noel, barker, Byrd and Cameron, and the County Attorney.
The following business was transacted:
Mr. C.R.Aamnone, Assistant County Agent, appeared before the Board and asked
permission for a leave of absence to attend special summer courses for the
remainder of June. The Board, by unanimous vote, granted such leave.
The matter of an appiriation for agriculture agency work in the County was
deferred until a later meeting.
It was ordered and approved by unanimous vote of the Commissioners that the
County sponsor an exhibit of induatrial,educational and agricultural progees at
the fiext State Afir.
It was ordered that the Clerk to the Board communicate with Dr. Ernest A.Branoh,
Dentist and Director of Division of Oral Hygiene, State Board of Health, and state
to him that Harnett County desires a oontinunation of the dental.program for next
year, and that proper appropriation is to be made therefor.
It is ordered that Inez Harrington, Register of Deeds, furnish free of charge
to the American Legion certified copies of birth certificates of the following
five boys: J.C.Lee, Oeo.F.Blalook, Parker, Richard Fuqusy, and Joe Monroe, at the
request of the American Legion.
It is ordered that the County Auditor wept in full payment of 1936 and prior
jams against 54 acres of land in Anderson "reek Township, listed to Neill McRae
the sum of $180.00.
It is ordered that the Committee, which has been appointed to investigate the
cost of repairing the local jail, visit the Jail in Cumberland County and ascertain
the cost of building and repairing.
It is ordered that the County Auditor be authorized to purchase paint and other
repairs for jail to make necessary sanitation condition in jail, and cause the same
to be painted on inside and euktably repaired.
The Board adjourned until Monday, June 21, 1937.

The members of the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County met as required
by law, on Monday, June 14, 1937, as the Board of Equalisation and Review of
Harnett County the following being present: Chairman, J.B.Ennis, and members
Noel, Barker, Byrd and Cameron.
J.5.MOI,ean, Justice of the Peace, administered the oathac-efooffice to the
said members.

We do each solemnly swear that we each will faithfully discharge our respective
duties as a member of the Board et Equalization and Review of Harnett County, N.C.;
and that we will each not allow our respective actions as a member of said board to
be influenced by personal or political friendships or obligations.

Thereupon the said Board recessed, the meeting to be continued from day to
day, to reconvene Monday, June 21, 1937, at 10:00 O'clock A.M. unless sooner
