12031934Deeember'3rd. 1934 10 otaIock,A.M. The Board of County commissioners met in regular session with the following members present: J.B. nnis, Chairman,JkDaniel Byrd,H.M.O'Quinn, J.S. Barker and E.L.Cooke. I.R.Williams, County Attorney was also present. It is ordered that Miss Lillie Davis, Welfare Officer, investigate the condition of Miss Susan Johnson and report to Board. It is ordered that Holton Dupree be relieved'ef poll tax for the year 1934. It is ordered that the valuation of that certain lot belonging to Mrs. W.T.Monds on Edgerton Street in Dunn, N.C. be reduced from 41650.00 to 41000.00, for the 1932, 1933 and 1934. years It is ordered that the Worrell- Manufacturing Oompany be paid $286.90 in full settlement of their account of 41147.61, being a compromise with J.R.Hood,ittorney. It is ordered that 415.00 per month be paid to the State Hospital for the care of Miss Rena Parker. It is ordered that no change be made in the valuation of the property of A.L.Seaweil It is ordered that the property of E.F. Young known as the Hotel Property be re- duced in valuation to the extent of 41000.00. It is ordered that:.11a Cannady be refunded $2.00 on aceount of being charged with poll tax. It is ordered that Walter Parrish, Raleigh, N.C. be allowed to purchase peddler's license without charge, on account of physical disability.For a period of one year from date. It is ordered that J.L.Sorrell,jr. of Grove Township be relieved of penalties charged against him for not listing his property. It is ordered that the bond of Geo. L. Cannady be returned for Correction. It is ordered that report of rc.ALW.CP.eede, Health Officer, be, accepted and filed. It is ordered that report of L.M.Chaffin,C.S.C. be accepted and filed and that cheeks in the sum of 4122.66 and 4284.25, respeettvely,be turned over to the County Auditor for distribution. It is ordered that C.H. Denton be granted the privilege of buying beer license. It is ordered, that Gianante Iannette, Bann, N.C. be granted peddler's license with- 'out charge on account of physical disability. It is ordered that the annual report of L.M. Chaffin, C.S.C. be accepted and :filed. RESOLUTION: Whereas Gemmissionem H.M. O'Quinn and J. Daniel Byrd this day are retiring from this Board: Now therefore, be it resolved by the other members of this 'Board that they thank Commissioners O'Quinn and Byrd for their efficient services to the County. Whereas Geo. L. Cannady, Tax Collector, has posted bond in the sum of 5000.00 with National Surety Corporation of New York as surety. And whereas the power of attorney attached to said bond is not dated and it is ordered that`a proper power of attorney be attached to said bond before the same isireeorded. It being the intention of this Board to approve said bond only when the proper power of attorney is attached. It is now ordered that this Board do adjourn until 2. o'clock, P.M.
