04021934/April 2, 1934, The Board of County Commissioners met in- regular'session with the- following members present: J.B.Ennis, Chairman; H.M.0'quinn, E.L.Cooke, JD.Byrd, and J.S.Barker. Also I.R.Williams, County A ?torney. It is ordered that the appointment of C.S.Adams as cotton weigher of the Town of Angier by the Board of Alderman of said Town, be approved by this Board. It is ordered that a Committee composed of Miss Lillie Davis, J.B.Ennis, J.S.MoLean, end I.R.williams, be appointed to investigate the question of the - erection of an addition to Coats School. This Committee to act with Pro$.Owen Odum and Dr. J.R.Butler, of the Coats School District. It is ordered that the County Purchasing Agent be authorized to purchase a filing cabinet for the County Agent's Office. It is ordered that the report of G.L.Cannaday, Tax Collector, be accepted and filed. It is ordered that teport of Geo. L.Cannaday, Collector of Privilege Tax, be accepted, and filed. It is ordered that report of L.M.Chaffin, C.S.C. be accepted and filed and checks in the amounts of 474.90 and $23.74 be delivered to_the County Auditor for distribution. It is ordered that report of Dr. A.w.Peede, County Health Officer, be accepted and filed. It is ordered that License without charge It is ordered that for the year 1933. It is ordered that former order of this Board,requiring that all insurance on County property be placed on a blanket plan, be rescinded and all Insurance Agents be requested to be present at the first Monday Meeting in May at 10:00 A.M. It is ordered that the statement of Ben Hurt Life Insutanee in the sum of $1860.90 for principal and interest be ordered paid d when funds in the Bond Fund are sufficient. It is ordered that the sum of $40.00 be appropriated for the use -of C.H.Avery, Special Deputy Sheriff in Duke Township. It is ordered that Geo. L.Hemmingway be ranted a relief in valuation on 1928 taxes xes of $500.00 as 33 acres valued at 500.00 was listed in Cumberland David Hunter Denning, of Benson, N.C. be granted Peddler's on account of physical disability. H.M.Beasley of Grove Township., be refunded $3.00 dog tax County. It is ordered that the valuation of that 104 acre tract of land in Grove Township listed in name of J.I.Newton, be reduced by va e of $400.00 for year 1932 and $300.00 for year 1933, the Board having or a fact that the said house valued at $400.00 in 1932, was destroyed by fire during year of 1931.
