10051942437 The Board of Commissioners of Harnett County met in a regular session on Monday October 5th at 10 :00 A.M. With J.B. Ennis, Chariman, Angus A. Cameron, L.R. Eyrd R.L. Pate, and Ferd D. Jackson present. Also present were H.C. Strickland, County Attorney, and the clerk to the Board. It is ordered that 'hrs. Mollie Jones, Coats, #1, Grove Township be admitted as an inmate of the County Home. It is ordered that Beer & wine license oe granted to Henry P.Johnson for H.P. Johnso Oil Lo. on South Clinton Avenue extended in the town of Dunn for the year 1942. The report of Miss Lola O'Quinn, D'T.C. for the month of September, 1942 was app- roved and ordered filed. The Monthly report of Inez Harrington, Register of Deeds for Month of September was approved and ordered filed. The monthly report of Howard Godwin, C.S.C. for month of September was approved and ordered filed. Be it resolved that, upon receipt by the County dthe sum of $114.47 in compromise settlement of suit against Ronei Thomas, et als, it is being inerlocotory Judgment #A -1439, the pending suit be non - suited, and the County Attorney is hereby directed to take a non -suit in said case; the said payment being inclusive of taxes for the year 1941 also. The following road petition was presented approved and ordered forwarded to the State highway and Public Works Commission: (1.) for maintenance that road or cartway extending from Highway No. 421 in a west- erly direction about one mile to the old river road and serving six families as a means of ingress and egress.
