08031942425 August 3,1942 The Board of Commissioners met in regular session Monday at 10 AM August 3, 1942 with J.B.Ennis,Chairman,Angus A.Cameron, Ferd D.Jackson,L.R.Byrd, and R.L.Pate absent. Also present was Inez Harrington,Clerk to the Board. It is ordered that 4 3/4 acres of land listed to Jim McLean, colored, in Neill's Creek Township for the year 1930 be released of the lien of County taxes for 1930 upon receipt by the County of $15.00 before August 15,1942, and there- upon a non -suit will be taken in pending action S.D. 2325, said assessed value for said year having included a house then owned by J.G.Layton. The monthly report of Howard Godwin,C.S.C., was presented, approved and ordered filed. The monthly report of Lola approved and ordered filed. The monthly report of Inez approved and ordered filed. It is ordered that the County Tax Collector conduct the annual sale of liens for 1941 taxes due Harnett County on the first Monday in September,1942, and that preliminary thereto he advertise the sale as provided by law.
