06151942416 Board of County Commissioners met in recessed meeting- at'2 :30 P.M.'June 15,1942 with the following members present J.B.Ennis,L.R.Byrd,Ferd D.Jackson and A.A.Cameron. It is ordered that license taxes on gasoline pumps be reduced from $1.25 to 65 for yr. 1942 -43. It is ordered that C.R.Ammons be and he is hereby appointed County Agent for a period of 1 year. It is ordered that T.D.0'Quinn be and he is hereby appointed assistant County < Agent for a period of 1 year. It is ordered that Maude L .Searcy -be and she.is hereby appointed Home Demonstration Agent for a period of 1 yr. The Board approved gnd- granted -that beer licenses be granted to W.T.Peede, Angier,N.C. at Fidelity erv. Station. The Board approved and granted that beer licenses be granted to Elwood Eugene Johnson,Lillington,N.C. #1 Pine State Tourist Camp. C.R. Ammons appeared before the Board and presented the 1942 -43 extension budget for Harnett County as follows: County Agent 1200: - Travel 120., Assit. Co.Agent Travel 300.-- Home Agent - Extension Secretary Telephone 54. Equipment and Office Supplies 200.E Total - $4154.00 ;900: 780. - Mrs. S.R.MbEay of the library Board appeared before the -Board and presented budget for the year 1942 -43 and the Board approved the amount of (1670.00 from County Funds. C.R.Ross County Supt. appeared before the Board and- presented School Budget in tentative fort, for'the "year 1942- 43'and the Board - approved the net amount of $25,010.00 for capital outlay,$21,139.10 for current expense,$66,790.27 for debt service.
