The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session Monday, March 2, 1942
at 10:00 O'clock A.M. with Chairman J.B.Ennis, present; also Commissioners
R.L.Pate, Angus A.Cameron, L.R.Byrd and Ferd D.Jackson; also County
Attorney H.C.Strickland; and Inez Harrington, Clerk to the Board.
It is ordered that the valuation of 67 acres tract of land of W.E.Mason in
Buckhorn Township, to reduced in the amount of $600.00, because of error in
number of acres of cleared land.
It is ordered that J.B.Ennis, L.R.Byrd and R.L.Pate, be and they are hereby
appointed a Committee to have specifications prepared and to receive bids
for renovating the Agricultural Building, so as to mate space available
in that building.

It is ordered that W.A.Gregcry of Coats, N.C. Route 1 be granted free
pedler ►s lioense fob She year 1942 on account of physical disability.
The Board accepted the resignation of Grove P.Temple, Constable, in
Stewart's Creek Township, to take effect as of this date.
It is ordered that if Lula Buie, agent, pays $50.00 this date, March 2, 1942,
on contract with the County to purchase nine acres of the Zack Buie land, in
Johnsonville Township, foreclosed under SD#2171-A-998, the time for final
payment be extended to November 1942; and $50.00 of the, purchase price to bey c.
paid by D.P!.Johnson to the County for rent for the year 1942.
It is ordered that Mrs. M.D.Lanier of Lillington Township, be refunded tames
in the amount of $6.73 on the property in town of Lillington on account of
error in listing for the years 1939, 1940, and 1941.
It is ordered that Angus A.Cameron of Barbecue Township, be refunded tames
in the amount of $4.27 on 36 acres of land in Barbecue Townah ip, on account
of error in double listing for year 1941.

for the years 1938 and subsequent years, including 1942, on account of
physical disability.
It is ordered that W.T.Howard of Grove Township, be refunded of penalty in
amount of $4.55 for ,year: 1941 on account of ,late listing.
Be it resolved that the one lot'on`East Harnett Street in Dunn, N.C.
Averasboro Township, formerly listed -to Mary'C.Smith, foreclosed under
SD 1820 -A -876, be sold to Marshall Smith for the total sum of $190.00,
'with interest, on the following terms: $58.00 cash with this offer, and
