The Board of Commissioners net in a call session on Friday, Dec. 6, 1940
at 2:00 P.M. with Chairman J.B.inis present and Commissioners R.L.Pate,
L.R.Byrd, A.A.Camern and Fered D.Jackson present also. County Attorney
H'C.Strickland and Clerk to the Board Inez Harrington were present too.
The Board ordered that the tax valuation of property listed to
Mrs. J.D.Upchureh be reduced by 3300.00 on the building, but no change on
the lot, for years 1938, 1939, and 1940.
It is ordered that L.L.Williams in Barbecue Township, be released $2.00
dog tax on account of error in listing.
It is ordered that the amendment to the current budget of the Welfare
Department providing compensation to Mrs. Elizabeth Matthews at the rate of
$85.00 per month by transfer of unexpended clerk hire without increase
of total budget, be and the same is hereby approved.
