04251960419 r MINUTES OF BOARD OF EQUALIZATION & REVIEW FOR YEAR 196Q The County Board of Commissioners convened and sat as a County Board of Equalization and Review for their First Meeting of 1960 on Monday, March 21 1960, at 10;00 A. M. in the courthouse at Lillington, N. C. All members of the Board were present. Those present L. A. Tart, Chairman, Worth.Lee Byrd, Alex Cameron, Joe Currin, and W. A. Warren. The meeting was called to order by Chairman, L. A. Tart. Before entering upon their duties all members of the Board subscribed to the following oath and filed with the clerk of the Board of County Commissioners. I, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully discharge my duties as a member of the Board of Equalization and Review of Harnett County, North Carolina, and that I will not allow my actions as a member of said Board to be influenced by a personal political friendship or obligation. This the 21st. day of March, 1960. March 21, 1960 The following townships were given an opportunity to come in before the Equalization Board and be heard: Only taxpayers who had their real estate values effected or disturbed as much as 4100. during the year 1959 were entitled to appear before the Equalization Board: Buckhorn, Hector's Creek, Neil's Creek, Averasboro, Black River, and Duke Landon Barefoot of Averasboro Township appeared before the Board concerning the value placed on his new residence by the County Appraisers. His property was rechecked by the County Appraisers and value was unchanged. The Board recessed to reconvene, for the second meeting to be held April 25, 1960. April 25, 1960 The County Board of Commissioners convened as a Board of Equalization and Review for their second meeting for 1960. All Commissioners were present except Joe Currin. The following townships were given the privilege of appearing before the Equalization Board: Stewart's Creek, Anderson Creek, Lillington, Upper Little River, Barbecue, Johnsonville, and Grove. No taxpayer appeared before the Board for adjustment. The Board of Equalization and Review adjourned for its final meeting for the year 1960. Berles C. Yohnson, Clerk
