0720196732 July 20th. 1967 The Board of Commissioners met in a called session on Thursday, July 20th. at 6:30 P.M., with Chairman Brock, Commissioner Womble, Commissioner Brown, and Commissioner McLamb present. Commissioner Cotton was absent. Also present were Herbert Carson, Auditor and Inez Harrington, Clerk to Board. Chairman Brock called the meeting to order and stated the purpose of the meeting was to adopt the 1967 -68 Budget Resolution. Commissioner MoLamb moved, seconded by Commissioner Womble, that the 1967 -68 Budget Resolution be and the same is hereby adopted. 1967 -68 BUDGET RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF HARNETT COUNTY: Section 1. Erwin Fire District - $ 13,500,000.00, Flatwoods Fire District - $ 2,000,000.00, Summerville Fire District - $ 3,000,000.00, and an estimated rate of collections of ninety per cent (90%). Section 4. There is hereby levied a poll tax of $2.00 on all male persons in the county between the ages of 21 and 50, unless exempt as provided by law, for the purpose of raising the revenue from Current Year's Poll Tax, as set forth in the foregoing extimates of revenue, and in order to finance the foregoing appropriations.
