ADJOURNMENT
The Harnett County Board of Commissioner met in a special joint
session with the Harnett County Northeast Metropolitan Water Board
on Monday, May 26, 1980, as was duly advertised, with the followin
members present: Lloyd G. Stewart, M. H. Brock, Bill Shaw, Rudy
Collins, and Chairman Jesse Alphin presiding. H. D. Carson, Jr.,
Clerk to the Board, and Edward H. McCormick, County Attorney,
were also present.
Chairman Jesse Alphin called the meeting to order at 7 p.m.
Joe Tart, Chairman of the Northeast Metropolitan Water District
Board, presented for the Commissioners' consideration a lease
agreement between the County of Harnett and Northeast Metropolitan
Water District.
Commissioner Collins made a motion that the Board of Commissioners
adjourn into executive session to discuss the proposed lease
agreement. Commissioner Shaw seconded the motion and the issue
carried with a unanimous vote.
The Board of Commissioners reconvened into regular session at
10:15 p.m.
Commissioner Jack Brock introduced the following resolution
relating to Lease of the water system of the Northeast Metropolita
Water District of Harnett County, North Carolina:
RESOLVED that the County of Harnett enter into that certain
lease agreement with the Northeast Metropolitan Water District
of Harnett County, North Carolina, a copy of which has been filed
with the Secretary to the Board; further that Jesse Alphin,
Chairman, be and he is authorized to execute the same on behalf
of the County of Harnett and H. D.Carson, Jr., be and he is
hereby authorized to attest the same and affix thereto the corpor-
ate seal of the County. For Reference of Lease see Harnett County

Upon Motion of Commissioner Rudy Collins, seconded by Commissioner
Bill Shaw, the foregoing resolution was approved by the following
vote: Ayes 5 , Noes 0 , Abstained 0 , Absent 0
There being no further business, the Harnett County Board of
Commissioner meeting of May 26, 1980, duly adjourned at 11:20 p.m.
