BOARD OF EQUALIZATION & REVIEW MINUTES FOR THE YEAR OF 1977.

The first meeting of the Board of Equalization and Review was held on April
26, 1977, at 10:00 A.M. The following Commissioners were present: Jesse Alphin,
M. H. Brock, W. J. Cotton, Jr. The following oath was administered and each Comm-
issioner present ascribed thereto:

I , do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will
support and maintain the Constitution and laws of the United States,
and the Constitution and Laws of North Carolina, not inconsistent there-
with, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of my office as
a member of the Board of Equalization and Review of Harnett County,
North Carolina, and that I will not allow my actions as a member of the
Board of Equalization and Review to be influenced by personal or pol-
itical friendships or obligations, so help me God.

1. Mrs. Mary Hodges Norris appeared before the Board on a trailer hook -up valued
at $200. on a 42 -acre tract of land in Averasboro Township. No change was made by
the Board.
2. Willie McKay appeared before the Board on improvements on house valued at $652.
at 40% completion, Lillington Township. No change was made by the Board.
The second meeting of the Board of Equalization and Review was held on May 10,
1977, at 10:00 A.M. The following Commissioners were present: M. H. Brock, W. A.
Shaw, Jr. Mr. Shaw took the oath.
1. Mrs. Rebecca Coleman appeared before the Board on a building that was moved in on
property of a 4 acre tract in Grove Township, listed to Belford and Rebecca Coleman.
No Change was made by the Board.
2. R. B. Turner appeared before the Board on a house on the lot of R. B. Turner and
Martha, Neills Creek Township valued at 18,689. No change was made by the Board.
3. Annie L. Griffis appeared before the Board on a garage on the property of John
F. & Annie L. Griffis, valued $1,258. No change was made by the Board.
The third and final meeting of the Board of Equalization and Review was held
May 17, 1977, at 10:00 A.M. The following Commissioners were present: M. H. Brock,
W. A. Shaw and Lloyd G. Stewart. Mr. Stewart took the Oath.
No property owner appeared before the Board. A review was made of all property
owners who had appeared before the Board, and the decision stood as stated in each
case above.
