BUDGET AMENDMENTS

LANDFILL
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Friday, June 26,
1987, with the following members present: Rudy Collins, Mack Reid Hudson, and
Chairman Lloyd G. Stewart presiding. Mayo Smith and Bill Shaw were absent. Others
present were: Vanessa W. Young, Clerk to the Board; Dallas H. Pope, County Manager;
Glenn Johnson, County Attorney, and Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secretary.
Chairman Stewart called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
Commissioner Collins led the afternoon prayer.
Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented a budget amendment for Special Appropria-
tions, code 10- 8700 -135, Other Appropriations, increase of $4,500 for costs concern-
ing Indirect Cost Plan. Commissioner Collins made a motion to approve the budget
amendment. Commissioner Hudson seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous
vote.
Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented the following budget amendment for the
Landfill Department. Mr. Pope explained that the amendment was needed to cover
a repair bill for a piece of heavy equipment.

Commissioner Hudson made a motion to approve the budget amendment. Commissioner
Collins seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.
PUBLIC BUILDINGS Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented a budget amendment for Public Buildings,
code 10- 5000 -015, Maintenance & Repair - Buildings, an increase of $28,598. Mr. Pope
explained that the amendment was needed to pay for the reroofing of the Dunn Health
Department building and the Lee - Harnett Mental Health building. Commissioner Collins
made a motion to approve the budget amendment. Commissioner Hudson seconded the
motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.
INDUST. DEV.
AJOURNMENT
Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented a budget amendment for Industrial Develop-
ment Commission, code 10- 7100 -001, Severance Pay, increase of $4,170. for the
purpose. of paying Ken Schubart two month's severance pay as previously discussed by
the Board. Commissioner Hudson made a motion to approve the budget amendment.
Commissioner Collins seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.
There being no further business, the Harnett County Board of Commissioners Special
meeting of June 26, 1987, duly adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
