AMENDMENT TO
AGREEMENT RE:
AIRPORT POWERLINE
RELOCATION PROJ.
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Monday,
September 25, 1989, in the Harnett County Board of Education Administration
Building, Lillington, North Carolina, with the following members present:
Rudy Collins, Mack Reid Hudson, Mayo Smith, and Vice - Chairman Bill Shaw
presiding. Chairman Lloyd G. Stewart was absent. Others present were Dallas
H. Pope, County Manager; and W. Glenn Johnson, County Attorney.
Vice - Chairman Shaw called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.
Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented to the Board for their
consideration, Amendment No. 2 to the grant agreement between Federal
Aviation Administration and the County of Harnett for Project No.
3 -37- 0088 -01, with the revised grant amount of $542,806. designated for the
Harnett County Powerline Relocation project.
Commissioner Collins moved that the resolution approving Amendment No. 2
to the Harnett County Airport Powerline Relocation Project No. 3- 37- 0088 -01,
be adopted. Commissioner Smith seconded the motion and it passed with a
unanimous vote. The resolution is copied in full at the end of these minutes
dated September 25, 1989, as document no. 1.
EXECUTIVE SESSION Commissioner Collins moved that the Board go into joint executive session
with the Harnett County Board of Education. Commissioner Hudson seconded the
motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.
Commissioner Smith moved that the Board come out of executive session.
Commissioner Hudson seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.
There being no further business, the Harnett County Board of Commissioners
special meeting of September 25, 1989, duly adjourned at 9:11 p.m.

RESOLUTION
HARNETT COUNTY AIRPORT POWER LINE RELOCATION PROJECT

WHEREAS, the County of Harnett has submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration
a Project Application Grant Agreement which was approved for a grant of federal funds
for the Harnett County Airport Power Line Relocation Project No. 3 -37- 0088 -01; and
WHEREAS, the County of Harnett has requested an amendment to the approved Airport
Power Line Relocation Project from the Federal Aviation Administration to increase the
grant of federal funds from $519,919 to $542,806, due to project construction cost
overrun by the construction agency, Carolina Power and Light Company; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has approved Amendment No. 2 to the
Grant Agreement for Project No. 3 -37- 0088 -01 in the requested grant amount of $542,806.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Harnett County Board of Commissioners, that
the Amendment No. 2 to the Grant Agreement for Project No. 3 -37- 0088 -01, between the
County of Harnett and the Federal Aviation Administration be and the same is hereby
approved and that the Vice - Chairman and the Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
to sign and execute the said Grant Agreement, Amendment No. 2, for and on behalf of
the County of Harnett, and forward the same to the Federal Aviation Administration.
