06261989PUBLIC HEARINGS CONCERNING ZONING DISTRICT CHANGE APPLICATIONS, JUNE 26, 1989
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners held three public hearings on
applications for proposed zoning district changes, on June 26, 1989, at the
County Office Building, Lillington, North Carolina, with the following members
present: Rudy Collins, Bill Shaw, Mack Reid Hudson, Mayo Smith, and Chairman
Lloyd G. Stewart presiding. Also present were Dallas H. Pope, County Manager;
W. Glenn Johnson, County Attorney; Vanessa W. Young, Clerk to the Board; and
Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secretary.
INVOCATION Commissioner Hudson offered the invocation.
PURPOSE
Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, briefed the group that the purpose of the
public hearings was to obtain public comments concerning applications for
proposed zoning district changes.
NATHAN JIMMIE At 7:10 p.m., Chairman Stewart called to order a public hearing concerning
DIXON application for Nathan Jimmie Dixon, from RA -40 Zoning District to RA -20R
Zoning District, Neill's Creek Township, SR 1006.
Carla Stephens, Planning Supervisor, presented the application to the Board.

Chairman Stewart opened the meeting for public comments.
The following citizens provided comments concerning the application:

4. Gwen Dixon, Rt. 1, Lillington
Chairman Stewart closed the public hearing concerning application for proposed
zoning district change for Nathan Jimmie Dixon at 7:25 p.m.
At 7:25 p.m., Chairman Stewart called to order a public hearing concerning
application for Ray Andray, from RA -30 Zoning District to RA -20M Zoning
District, Lillington Township, SR 2034.
Carla Stephens, Planning Supervisor, presented the application to the Board.
Chairman Stewart opened the meeting for public comments.
No comments were offered.
Chairman Stewart closed the public hearing concerning application for proposed
zoning district change for Ray Andray at 7:30 p.m.
At 7:30 p.m., Chairman Stewart called to order a public hearing concerning
application for Ricky Surles, from RA -30 Zoning District to Industrial Zoning
District, Black River Township, SR 1542.
Carla Stephens, Planning Supervisor, presented the application to the board.
Chairman Stewart opened the meeting for public comments.
Ricky Surles provided comments to the Board concerning his application.
Chairman Stewart closed the public hearing concerning application for proposed
zoning district change for Ricky Surles at 7:35 p.m.
