PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING CONSOLIDATION OF COATS -GROVE FIRE DISTRICT, JUNE 19, 1989
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing concerning
proposed consolidation of Coats -Grove Fire District on June 19, 1989, in the.
County Office Building, Lillington, North Carolina, with the following members
present: Rudy Collins, Bill Shaw, Mack Reid Hudson, Mayo Smith, and Chairman
Lloyd G. Stewart presiding
CALL TO ORDER Chairman Stewart called the public hearing to order at 8:15 p.m.
PURPOSE
Attorney E. Marshall Woodall briefed the group that the purpose of the public
hearing was to allow the public to comment concerning the proposed consoli-
dation of Coats -Grove Fire District.
COMMENTS Chairman Stewart opened the hearing for public co Lents.
Mr. Tim McKinnie, Coats Mayor, representing the Town of Coats Board of
Coimidssioners, requested that the Town of Coats become a part of Grove Rural
Fire Department.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further comments, Chairman Stewart closed the public hearing at
8:25 p.m.
