Stewart presiding. esent The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Monday, March 14, 1989, in the County Office Building, Lillington, North Carolina, with the following members present: Rudy Collins, Bill Shaw, Mack Reid Hudson, Mayo Smith, and Chairman Lloyd G. Stewart presiding. Others present were: Dallas H. Pope, County Manager; W. Glenn Johnson, County Attorney; Vanessa W. Young, Clerk to the Board; and Kay S. Blanchard, Recording Secre- tary. CALL TO ORDER Chairman Stewart called the meeting to order at 8:45 p.m. LEIGH BEADLE GLENN GODWIN JAMES JOHNSON BUDGET AMEND. LANDFILL Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented a zoning change application from Leigh P. Beadle, from RA -40 Zoning District to Industrial Zoning District, Neill's Creek Township, S.R. 2015. Mr. Beadle requested to withdraw his application. Commissioner Collins moved that Mr. Beadle be allowed to with- draw application without prejudice with right to reapply. Commissioner Smith seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented a zoning change application from Glenn H. Godwin, from RA -40 Zoning District to RA -20M Zoning District, Grove Township, U.S. 421. Mr. Godwin requested to withdraw his application. Commis- sioner Hudson moved that Mr. Godwin be allowed to withdraw application without prejudice with right to reapply. Commissioner Shaw seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented a zoning change application from James A. Johnson, from RA -30 Zoning District to RA -20M Zoning District, Duke Township, S.R. 1769. Mr. Johnson requested to withdraw his application. Commissioner Hudson moved that Mr. Johnson be allowed to withdraw application without prejudice with right to reapply. Commissioner Smith seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. Dallas H. Pope, County Manager, presented a budget amendment for Landfill, Code 10- 6600 -071, Capital Outlay -Land, $145,000. increase to purchase property from Ioma Strickland and Leon Johnson for addition to Anderson Creek Landfill. Commissioner Shaw moved for the approval of the budget amendment. Commis- sioner Smith seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote.
