Dear Mr. Aiken,
ATC visited the above referenced site to observe and evaluate foundation soils for Lot 85 prior to
construction. At the time of our visit, building pad construction and footing excavation were complete.
Using a % inch diameter steel probe rod and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer, ATC tested soils at bottom
of footing elevation. In addition, ATC performed hand auger and DCP testing at the four corners of the
proposed building. ATC performed DCP testing at 1-foot intervals down to satisfactory residual soils or a
maximum depth of 5 feet below finish pad elevation.
Results, at areas and elevations tested, indicated that soils are satisfactory to support a foundation
designed for a net allowable bearing capacity of 2,000 pounds per square foot (W
