Re: Building Pad Evaluation for Lot 83 Highgrove at Anderson Creek in Fayetteville, North Carolina

Dear Mr. Aiken,
ATC has visited the above referenced site to observe and evaluate soils for Lot 83 prior to construction.
At the time of our visit, building pad construction and footing excavation were complete. Soils appear to
transition from residual to 18 inches of fill front to back.
ATC observed and tested soils at bottom of footing elevation for perimeter and interior footings. In
addition ATC performed hand auger and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer Testing (ASTM STP 399) at the four
corners. ATC performed DCP testing at 1-foot intervals down to satisfactory residual soils.
Test results, at areas and elevations tested, indicated that soils have sufficient bearing capacity to
support a foundation designed for a net allowable bearing capacity of 2,000 pounds per square foot (psf).
