OLD BOONE TRAIL SCHOOL REAL PROPERTY FROM THE
HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
WHEREAS, the Harnett County Board of Education (Board of Education) owns certain
proprietary rights to two real property tracts located in Upper Little River Township commonly
known as the Boone Trail School site; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education on May 2, 2011 adopted a Resolution stating
(a) The real property known as the old Boone Trail School property is no longer
suitable or necessary for public school purposes;
(b) The Board of Education authorizes the transfer of the property and any and all
rights that the Board of Education may have under the lease agreement, including
the option to purchase, to the County of Harnett; and
(c) The Board of Education authorizes its officers to execute a deed to the County of
Harnett for the Boone Trail School site property.
That pursuant to the directives of the Board of Education, its officers have
tendered a deed for the Boone Trail school site real property to the County of
Harnett; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Harnett County Board of Commissioners to accept this
deed through this Resolution.
NOW THEREFORE, THE HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THAT the County of Harnett accept the deed tendered by the
Board of Education for the conveyance of any and all proprietary rights that the Board of
Education should have in those two tracts described as the old Boone Trail School real property
site.
