1992/02/17 RESOLUTION CONCERNING FARM LEASERESOLUTION CONCERNING FARM LEASE WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners of the County of Harnett recognizes the need for Harnett County to raise revenue in order to offset rising expenditures brought forth by increased demands; and WHEREAS, said County owns approximately three hundred and forty acres of property located on U.S. 401, approximately one mile north of Lillington and the Cape Fear River Bridge; and WHEREAS, said Board desires to lease said property for the purpose of growing and harvesting agricultural crops; and WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160 -A, Article 12, allows said Board to designate authorization to lease land for periods up to one year. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners for Harnett County do hereby, by proper execution of this document, give Dallas Pope, County Manager, the authority to lease for the purpose of growing and harvesting agricultural crops, the three hundred and forty acre farm owned by the County of Harnett for a period up to one year.
