W. J. Cotton, Jr. a Member of the Board, introduced the following
resolution and moved that it be adopted:
RESOLVED, that the Chairman and Board Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
and empowered, in the name of and for and in behalf of the County of Harnett
to execute said electrical contract with Carolina Power & Light Company.
The motion to adopt the foregoing resolution was seconded by McLamb ,
a member of the Board, and, after discussion, the resolution was duly adopted,
there being 4 votes in favor thereof and 0 votes against it.

hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of a resolution duly adopted at,
and recorded amongst the minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of said
County of Harnett , duly assembled and held at 9:30 O'clock, it. M on the

presiding and Gilbert Brown, C. E. Mchamb, W. J. Cotton, Jr. and
Bobby R. Etheridge members of the Board were present, constituting

with, or by order of, the regulatory authority having jurisdiction, and each party to this Agreement reserves the right to
seek changes or substitutions, in accordance with law, from such regulatory authority. Unless specified otherwise,
any such changes or substitutions shall become effective immediately and shall nullify all prior provisions in conflict
therewith.
