12/05/83 Inspection Officials Text AmendmentHARNETT COUNTY NORTH CAROLINA uFCnT ITt'TnN The Harnett County Board of Commissioners; at its regular monthly meeting, held on the 5th day of December, 1983, does hereby resolve: Section 1. That the ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ADOPTION, ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED CODES AND ORDINANCES ALONG R'ITH THE AUTHORITY AND DUTIES OF THE INSPECTION OFFICIALS," which ordinance is recorded in Ordinance Book No. 1, at Page 155, is hereby amended as follows: HARNETT COUNTY PERMIT FEES Fees for permits shall be based upon the total estimated cost of the proposed work including ail' sub - contracts if °any, but in no case shall the total estimated cost be less than the market value of similar completed work in the same or similar location as determined by the appropriate Inspector or Inspectors. Failure to obtain permits at the proper time will cause the fees charged to be doubled. RIITT nINr Type A. Residential $1,000 to $5,000 $5,001 to $10,000 $10,001 and Above B. All other and additional Fixture Type $2.50 per Fixture Type Refer to Volume II of North Carolina Plumbing Code - Chapter 13 -4 Reinspection $10 Where existing structures are to be connected to public central wastewater system, the inspection permit fees will be: Residential minimum fee (200 feet or less). $10 Each additional foot at $.10 / lineal foot. Plus $5.00 additional for Sump or Ejector Pump. Commercial minimum fee (200 feet or less). $15 Each additional foot at $.15 / lineal foot. Plus $5.00 additional fee for Grease or Sand Trap. Plus $10.00 additional fee for Sump or Ejector Pump. Heating and Air Conditioning Type Fee Heating: Boiler - Hot Water, Steam, Steam Generator $2S Force Air - Warm Air, Heat Pump, Gas Pack, Solar System $20 Electrical - Electric Baseboard $15 3 Type Cooling: 1 to 5 tons/ cooling $10 Each additional ton /cooling $3 Reinspection $10 Miscellaneous Mobile Home $30 Travel Trailer (under 32 feet) $20 Modular Home $60 Zoning Change- Land -Use Permit $50 Reinspection $10 Contractor Privilege License $10 Section 2. All fee schedules appearing at the end of the above ordinance are repealed. Section 3. Notice of the filing of this resolution to amend the inspection code by additions to the existing plumbing permit fee and electrical fee sections of the ordinance was given on November 17, 1983. Copies of the proposed additions were available at the Harnett County Inspections Office and the Harnett County Manager's Office during regular working hours. Notice that a public hearing would be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 1983, for the purpose of receiving oral or written presentations relative to the proposed ordinance amendment were given. Section 4. The amendment shall be effective upon ratification of this resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of County Commissioners does hereby pass on its first reading the above proposed amendment and sets the date for the second reading to be the 19th of December, 1983.
